CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Skyler (Brooklyn Decker), Wendy (Elizabeth Banks), and Jules (Cameron Diaz) all go into labor with their husbands by their side.

FILM DESCRIPTION:
Five expectant couples learn that having a baby is anything but predictable in this uplifting romantic comedy based on Heidi Murkoff’s ubiquitous best-seller. A household name thanks to her popular fitness show, Jules (Cameron Diaz) can’t contain her excitement after learning she is about to have a baby with Evan (Matthew J. Morrison), the sure-footed star of a popular dance show. But the closer Jules gets to her due date, the more she and Evan realize the demands of parenthood and the responsibilities of a celebrity couldn’t be more different. Meanwhile, outspoken infant-advice author Wendy (Elizabeth Banks) contends with surging hormones as her belly begins to swell, and her devoted husband Gary is shell-shocked to discover that his overbearing trophy wife will soon be having twins. Of course not everyone is cut out to be a father, and as professional photographer Holly (Jennifer Lopez) prepares to scour the globe for a child to adopt, her reluctant husband Alex gets his first glimpse of fatherhood in a brutally honest support group for new dads. And while some parents spend years preparing for the right moment to have a child, feuding food-truck owners Rosie (Anna Kendrick) and Marco (Chace Crawford) get the surprise of their lives when an impulsive act of passion has permanent repercussions.

  • Love this scene. I was 18 when I had my first son. I had a birth plan set up and everything. My son was a huge baby, 9 pounds 3 ounces, and was too big for my body to push out. Me and him almost died during labor due to his umbilical cord not being steady. But obviously, we both lived. Now he's almost 11 and thriving with a little brother who is 6. Mothers truly sacrifice so much. ♥️

I love how the women who had the hardest labor had the easiest babies and the woman who had the twins and sneezed them out has the toughest babies 😂

There are times I watch this movie with my girlfriend and actually get kinda emotional. That reason being is because my mother was in Labor with me for 8 hours straight until she had to have a c-section. Then two days before my 26th birthday, my mother died in her sleep and when I found her she was cold as ice but looked so peaceful. Ever since my mother passed away I have gotten emotional whenever I watch parts of this movie and see all these pregnant women knowing that all of us have a time limit here on earth and that these unborn babies are going to grow up one day and since we are all marked with a blu-print, one or the other is going to have to say goodbye. I hope these mothers would never have to fear having to bury their child but the thing is I always tell everyone to love their mothers because when she’s gone, trust me it hurts a lot and the pain never goes away. See what your mom goes through to give you life? When you lose the person who raised you and was there for you when no one else was, life is never the same. I’d give anything to have my mom back.

The morphine scene wasn’t funny for some reason. It was terrifying. The unknown of what could happen to baby or mom in real life perhaps? 😑
