  Judging by this trailer they’ve completely changed the feel I got from the book. Kya wouldn’t sit on a public beach, Tate & Chase never had a confrontation & Everything’s too clean.

  I just finished reading the book, it was incredibly well-written. The imagery and description of the nature in, surrounding the marsh incredibly detailed. Kya and Tate's characters were well-fleshed out. The diction to differentiate the social classes, upbringing or educational background through the characters was a nice touch. The poems intricately woven into the storyline. A truly resilient character in a harsh, cruel and unforgiving world – survival of the fittest. It really is a good story and I can't wait to see how this film adaptation turns out.

  The settings look waaaaay too polished and tame. The characters, the book, and the Carolinas have a much more gritty, raw, and open beauty to them!
