  I like the subtle critique of Ivory Tower academia that runs throughout the
  picture. Helen wouldn't have met her end if she hadn't disturbed the spirit through her dissertation. Curiosity is one thing, but we all must know when we've overstepped our bounds.

  I just finished watching this film with my friends and i loved. They've already seen it, but this was my first time and i love ever minute. So well paced, well shot, well acted and tony todd was amazing. I have to put this with carrie, hellraiser, halloween and so many other classic horrors. I know of the reputation of the last two and how everyone saids they suck. But i will watching them out of curiosity of course. But first, will check out jordan peele's take on candyman. Perfect film to kick off the halloween spirits for this month.

  This horror movie is great, it has almost poetic vibe as a horror movie. It greatly discusses the problematic of crime and poverty and race in the USA. And after that I saw the newest sequel movie yesterday. It's not even closely good as the original, just a really bad sequel. It is full of messages that dispel even more hatred and racial tensions between the races in USA today. Totally opposite than the original.
